Parish Pastoral Council formation exercise in progress

By Nathaniel Nunes

For the past several weeks, Fr. Bolmax, our Parish Priest, has been visiting all the 25 Somudhays (Small Christian Communities) in the 10 sectors in Chicalim. The purpose of this visit is the formation of the Parish Pastoral Council.

There was Mass organized in each sector offered by Fr. Bolmax and assisted by the Pallotine Fathers, from our Palotti Home, Chicalim.

During his homily, Fr. Bolmax explained that The Parish Pastoral Council is the “voice” of the people of St. Francis Xavier Church, Chicalim. Its members assist the parish priest by making him aware of the needs, ideas, concerns, and dreams of the parishioners.

After the mass, the parishioners of the ward elected 4 members to represent them.
