Presentation of Jesus in the Temple

The parishioners of St. Francis Xavier’s Church, commemorated on 2nd February, 2020, in a special way the “Presentation of Baby Jesus” in the Temple as per the prevailing tradition.
Parishioners came with candles which were Blessed by the Parish Priest Fr. Bolmax Pereira. The parishioners lit these candles as a sign of spreading this message of Jesus Christ to the Nations of the World.The candle blessing ceremony concluded with a Solemn procession with these lighted candles to the Church and was followed by the Sunday Holy Mass.

Incidentally, these candles, which are Blessed today are normally used by the faithful during special family prayers or prayers during sickness or even prayer to overcome the evil and to face the difficult times in life.
