St. Francis Xavier Church celebrates Pastor's Day
By Nathaniel Nunes
Imagine a vocation that involves preaching the Word of God, Public Speaking, Teaching, Counseling, Mentoring, Office administration, Financial Management, Event co-ordination, Home and Hospital visitation. These are some of the many demands that a priest experiences.
To celebrate their service to the church, Pastor's Day was celebrated in our Parish on 4th August. This day is also celebrated as the feast of St. John Mary Vianney, patron of parish priests around the world.

The Thanksgiving Mass was concelebrated by the Parish Priest Fr. Bolmax along with Fr. Michael (our favourite go to person) and Fr. Edwin from Palloti Home. The homily was delivered by Rev. Fr. Bolmax, who asked the parishioners to root their lives on prayer and pray for the priests worldwide.
The priest is not a priest for himself, he is a priest for you

After Mass, a cake was cut by our priests to mark the occasion, with the parishioners singing congratulatory songs. Our parish youth beautifully decorated the church office and also performed a mini-jam session.
