Zhadd Roi Jivit Fuloi

This year Chicalim Parish Youth collaborated with Chicalim Youth Farmers Club (CYFC) for the Plantation Drive 2.0 which goes by the tag line, “Zhadd Roi Jivit Fuloi”. The event held on 15th August, 2020 aimed to develop a conservative approach towards building a better environment among the younger generation.

As we are in the lockdown mode, our well wishers St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim and Goa State Biodiversity Board, sponsored us with saplings. The unique feature of this activity was that the Youth have planted the saplings in their own garden. Pictures and videos taken during the planting process were shared on Social Media to encourage and motivate others too.

Nearly 200 saplings of arjun, love apple, badam, noni, guava, zambda, jagma, custard apple, bull's heart, shivon were planted. A shout-out to all the youth of Goa, to take up agriculture as your activity, in the beginning there might be a few people to start up, but these very few people will be looked up by the future generation.
